Control Operations Begin
The Chelan County Mosquito Control District #3 Idlewild begins operations for the control of adult mosquitoes when surveillance mosquito population has been met and weather conditions are favorable. Duet HD (EPA Reg. #8329-105) will be used to control adult mosquitoes (adulticide) during the early morning hours. Temperatures must be consistently 50 degrees at night with little wind and no rain. Treatment of mosquito larvae is done by individual property owners -for recommended procedures – see Types of Treatment tab.

Annual Meeting – Rescheduled October 12, 2026 at 4pm LWFR Station 91 -21696 Lake Wenatchee Hwy, Leavenworth, WA 98826
This meeting was originally scheduled for August 17, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. pursuant to Resolution No. 2025-7_ establishing the district’s regularly scheduled 2026 annual meeting. The meeting was postponed due to wildfire evacuation conditions and has been rescheduled for October 12, 2026.
NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF THE ANNUAL MEETING FOR CHELAN COUNTY MOSQUITO CONTROL DISTRICT 3.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Annual Meeting scheduled for today, August 17, 2026 is officially cancelled due to active wildfire conditions. The Board of Commissioners will reschedule this meeting as a Special Meeting as soon as conditions allow. Notice of the new date, time and agenda will be posted on our website at least 24 hours in advance. Please check the website often for updates.
